Penneys Haul

Just a quick little haul posy today. I surprised myself and didn't buy a stitch of clothing when I went in, which is really unlike me! I follow Penneys on Instagram and a lot of the time love things that they put up but can never find them in the shop when I go in. Sometimes they end up being only sold in the UK and other times they haven't been released yet. It can be a real pain in the arse.

I was in the home ware section looking for some new face clothes and found 3 for €2.50 which will keep me going for a good while. I've started to use cream cleansers again to take off my make up and couldn't find any of my face clothes. While I was down there I spotted stars. I'm a big fan of stars and have started to replace all my bed sheets so when I saw this white and blue star fitted sheet for €6 I had to pick it up.

I never go into Penneys without passing the make up section and I spotted a reduced P.S love lace perfume from €7 to €3. I had a sniff and decided that even if I got only a few uses out of it, it wasn't going to be a waste considering it was such a bargain.

I've hunted for a few weeks and finally found that little star and triangle necklace, I think its just gorgeous and was only €2. I was also on the look out for the make up brush cleaner that everyone and their mammies have been on about for the past while. There were lots in stock at the Penneys on Henry St if your looking yourself! This was only €2.50 and I'm looking forward to having a go to see if its any good. Pennys own brand P.S are coming out with loads of exciting things and next on the list of things to try out is their lipsticks and maybe a nail varnish.

The last thing I had my eye out for was a nail varnish that I saw online a few weeks ago. I couldn't remember the brand but I think it was this one from Catrice. If it wasn't I'm still happy that I picked up this lovely shade. Its called 46 berry potter and plumbledore - someone at Catrice is a potter fan! This was about €3.

Have you gotten any bargains in Penneys recently?

Get Thee To The Cosmetic Outlet!

I heard about the Cosmetic Outlet all the way back last year when I went to Sam's bloggers Dublin Meet Up as they sponsored some prizes and gave everyone goodie bags, the dolls! Since then I regularly drool over my news feed on Facebook looking at all the great things they have in stock. I have said time and time again that I will visit the shop but something has always come up. Not yesterday though, no sir. I hopped off the bus and headed straight to Meath St. (with the help of Google maps) Holy god I didn't realise what I had been missing. I originally went with the intentions of getting a w7 In The Buff palette (€10) as they are meant to be close dupes of the Naked 2 palette. Look below at the colours, isn't it just lovely?

But what I didn't bank on was the owner of the shop, Paul, being such a gas fella and having so much more in his shop (that I drooled over) then I had first thought. So naturally I got a few more things and even some Mothers Day bits as it would have been rude not to with those prices! Have a look below and then wipe the drool off your mouth. I know right, uber pretty? I got the blue one (€10) for my granny for Mothers Day - she is going to go wild when I give it to her, she loves her glam jewelry. I might have also picked up a pink chunky necklace (€15) for myself, I couldn't help it. I nearly purred - yes purred, over the collection of different necklaces Paul had to offer and I know for a fact that I'll be going back to get another statement piece. (It's got wings on it and a mask like face. Oh mammy its divine.)

As I was chatting away I mentioned I'd pick up some things for the mammy and granny. Paul very kindly made up two Mothers Day gift bags for me and put all the things I got for them into it. Aren't they really lovely? Bows, dotted cellophane and cute bags! You can get these already made up with loads of different things to choose from inside. Have a look at the photos below to see some of them. Or you can have your pick if you go onto The Cosmetic Outlet Facebook page. They start at €10 which really are a bargain - and we all know how much I love a bargain!

I also got YesTo products that are stupidly hard to find in shops in Ireland. But they were on offer 3 for €10. How could I say no to that? I picked up a L'oreal collagen re-plumping cream and MaxFactor mascara for the mammy and a mens Burt gift set for a birthday present. Its not just ladies products they had to offer as I roamed the shelves, there is a wide range of mens products too.

If that wasn't enough, Paul kindly gave me his new Madison brushes to try out (I felt them in the shop, they are so soft! I can't wait to give them a go and write up a review) and also some w7 products since I came in for the w7 eye shadow palette. I doubt you'll see me come out of the house this side of Christmas with all the things I have to play with now!

I can safely say I will be going back to the Cosmetic Outlet again soon as I have my eye on a few more things (in the region of €70, so I'll bring the fella along too. Just to carry the bags, honest..) One of the jems I'm drooling over is the pink handbag below, it just screams take me home. I can't get over the range of products they stock like Vichy, GreenAngel, Cocoa Brown, Shiseido and more. Not to mention how friendly and helpful the staff are. Oh and the next to nothing prices, thats a definite winner in my books!

So go on now, get thee to the Cosmetic Outlet and tell them I sent you!

Sale Buys Part 2: Evolution

So my first crazy sale buying was over here if you missed it. Next I hit Evolution in the GPO arcade. Its the perfect shop to get some gorgeous unique gifts and lovely little bits for yourself too. I am a major fan of this shop and even more so when they have their after Christmas sale as they totally slash the prices off loads of things! I kind of went twice..

On my first visit I got these few bits, mainly with my sisters birthday in mind as shes a huge owl lover and they had lots to offer on that line! I also picked up a cheeky photo frame for myself as I just love displaying photos and quirky frames are the best! I couldn't leave without the glass jar for my new bookcase and the Buddha and incense are going to be presents for friends, either for their birthdays or Christmas - yes I plan crazy ahead of time!

Then I might have gone a second time to see if the sale was still on and I noticed they had slashed their prices even more! Now how could I pass that by without partaking in a little present buying for next Christmas? I also think I'm going to be holding a very late blog birthday giveaway, so a few bits here were picked out with that in mind!

Birthday Haul

This is purely for those of you who like having a nosy at different blogger hauls just because. So if your not one of those people feel free to ignore this one! I am in no way boasting or 'showing off'. All items below were gifted to me by family and friends.

As some of you will know I turned 21 last Wednesday (the 18th for anyone who cares to know!) and my family and friends all went a bit mad with gifts. I got some really lovely things and am very grateful for each thought that was put into the day. So I just thought I'd show you a few bits now. There is nothing from Stephen here for the simple reason that he lost his marbles completely and bought half of Lush for me along with lots of other things and if I was to talk about that it would turn into a Lush haul!

My mother got me three beautiful pieces from Newbridge Silverware. A flower shaped key chain, a little cat (sparkly cat for the win!) keyring and a set of gorgeous, dried, pink flower filled mirror and trinket box. I also got a lovely Argento necklace called Hope that has the cutest little pearl on the top and also a sparkly (Sparkly!) blue French Connection necklace from two of my friends.

Everyone knows how much I love cards and I got the biggest bundle! Theres quite a few cat inspired ones too, which I just want to giggle at while jumping about in an overexcited fashion pointing. Two of my other passions, books and candles were clearly carefully noted as I received a sky high stack of both and I'm very excited about the lot. Cook books, owls, comedy books, yankee and even two cheeky dvds? Expect me to emerge from my room by say, Christmas? Ok, good!

Last but not least, I got a really thoughtful hand made scarf from a friends mother. She knitted and crocheted it in a fab dark blue with - the best part - loads of sparkles through it! To say I am excite is an understatement. I feel really fancy, movie star like when I have it on, hence the ridiculous face/pose and crazy hair flicking fashion show going on in the picture/my room right now.

Anyway thats the show and tell over with, now excuse me while I cat walk to the nearest chair to read my book! Have a fab day x
